The Serious Stuff
Sydney completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics followed by her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa. Before becoming a physiotherapist, she spent seven years working as a lifeguard, swimming instructor
and aquatic supervisor, where she taught inclusive lessons to children of all ages and abilities. These early experiences helped shape her interest in child development and supporting kids through movement.
Sydney currently works casually in the inpatient setting at CHEO, where she supports children and families during hospitalization and recovery. She is excited to continue growing her pediatric skills as part of the Play On team and values a
collaborative, family‑centered approach to care.
Sydney is passionate about helping children build confidence through movement, play, and meaningful goal‑setting. She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where kids feel comfortable exploring new skills at their own pace, and
is committed to ongoing learning through mentorship, collaboration, and continued education.
Sydney provides care bilingually in both French and English, ensuring families feel supported in the language that is most comfortable for them.
Outside of the clinic, Sydney enjoys staying active, travelling, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with her two cats, Finlay and Fiona.
