The Serious Stuff

Michèle has completed her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, followed by her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queens University in Kingston Ontario. Originally from Ottawa, Michèle is thrilled to be in her hometown as part of the Play on Team team to serve the members of her community.
Prior to her academic career, Michèle has spent many years coaching, teaching and helping young
developing athletes achieve their highest potential through sport and physical activity. She has completed her level 1 NCCP specifically for competitive swimming as well as for developmental sport. It was during her time at Acadia University where Michèle continued to develop a passion for working with infants, toddlers, school aged children and teens of varying abilities through purposeful play.
Michèle has been working as a pediatric physiotherapist for over 2 years treating kids as young as 2 weeks old, to athletes in their late teens. Her treatment philosophy places an emphasis on empowering kids and their parents to achieve their mobility goals through a comfortable and collaborative experience. She uses a combination of hands-on manual therapy, exercise, and education to get her clients moving optimally.
Outside of the clinic, Michèle loves to stay active through outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking in the winter, biking, golf, and all things aquatic in the summer. She also enjoys baking/cooking up tasty treats and spends time caring for her numerous plants.
