The Fun Stuff

Favorite pastimes: Myriam loves to spend time with her family, reading, and outdoor activities like swimming, kayaking, skiing 

Fun fact: Myriam loves to laugh! 

Why she loves her job: Because being a Pediatric OT keeps her young at heart.  Getting to ‘play’ all day while helping kiddos is truly amazing.

The Serious Stuff

Myriam is a COTO registered Occupational Therapist (OT) with a passion for working with children. She completed her OT degree in 2004, graduating from the University of Ottawa. After a placement with children, she discovered quickly that she would love working in pediatrics, where her experience has been since graduating.

Over the past 15 years she has worked in acute care, mental health and rehabilitation departments at CHEO and now in the last year has been working with a variety of clients in a private clinic setting. She has a special interest in sensory processing, primitive reflexes, feeding challenges, motor skill development, and helping children become successful in self-care, self-esteem, learning, play, as well as help each of them reach their full and unique potential.

Myriam is fully bilingual in French and English. She is the mother of three children, one of them being autistic, which furthered her interest in the neurodiverse clientele and all the latest research and development in those areas.
